SSC CGL Selection Process Tier I 2024

The SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 exam has 100 questions and is worth 200 marks. You get 2 marks for each correct answer and lose 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

The exam has questions on English Language, General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. If you pass the CGL Tier 1 exam, you can take the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam.

SSC CGL Selection Process Tier II 2024

After passing the first part (Tier 1) of the SSC CGL exam, you can move on to the next parts (Tier 2). Tier 2 is also done online and has two parts.

Both parts of Tier 2 are multiple-choice questions. You can choose your answers from given options. The questions are written in both English and Hindi, except for the English language part in the first section of the first paper.

If you answer a question wrong in the first two sections of the first paper, you will lose 1 point. In the other parts, you will lose 0.5 points for each wrong answer.

Everyone needs to take the first paper of Tier 2, no matter what job they are applying for. This paper has two parts, and you must answer all the questions in both parts.

SSC CGL Selection Process Document Verification 

After passing the first two parts of the SSC CGL exam, you’ll need to show your real documents to prove your identity. You can use things like an Aadhaar card, voter ID, driver’s license, or passport to do this.

Tie-Breaking Criteria in SSC CGL Selection Process 2024

In the event of a tie in the scores of candidates in the Tier-II examination, the merit will be determined by applying the following criteria, in order, until the tie is resolved:

  1. Marks scored in Paper-II of the Tier-II Examination for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)/Statistical Investigator Grade-II, if applicable.
  2. Marks scored in Section-I of Paper-I of the Tier-II Examination.
  3. Date of birth, with the older candidate being placed higher.
  4. Alphabetical order of the candidates’ names.
